Some works were done on Saturday, and no works on Sunday.
We dropped by on Saturday evening, after spending the afternoon at Lorgans (I love love love the furniture there).
This is how our place look like after one week of renovations. Progress has been fast and I'm really very pleased.
The corridor flanked by my lovely brick walls.
Cement screed completed in study room and MBR with hacked wall mended. Electrical points are also ready for false ceiling.
The study room.
Study and corridor screeded.
Another perspective.
My MBR toilet mosaic wall.
My common toilet mosaic wall.
My lovely brick wall.
The war zone.
I'm loving my place, and I'm really excited about seeing it take shape. *cross fingers and hope that everything goes smoothly*
I have been visualizing my home for months, planning and deciding on all the nitty gritty details with the husband. It's really exhilarating to see your dreams materializing bit by bit.
There's so much to decide on, too many choices and decisions to make. We were asked, if we would like to lay our tiles horizontal or vertical, where you want to place your switches, how far apart should the bricks be laid, exactly how do we want our lights to be spaced apart..and we'll have to start designing our carpentry, what compartments we would like, the color and materials etc..We also had to go around looking for our mattress (what brand, size, range, softness), what furniture and which shops to go.

Electronics are worst! From the washing machine to fridge, to air-con, to hood and hob, to heater and lights. We've been trying to research on the brands/models/pricing/functionality and which shops to buy them from even after we've decided on a particular model. IT IS REALLY TIRING!
I keep thinking that we've chosen almost everything needed, then I realized, we haven't chose paint color, curtains and rods, and there's still many many little things to buy. Goodness!
But...I'm so thankful to have this chance to go through all these with the husband, so I'm not complaining. =)
